what personally identifiable information does startster collect and what does startster do with it?
upon registration for access to startster services, members provide us with their email address. we use this information to establish individual accounts, protected by a password of the member's choice. after registration, members may also provide startster with additional personal information using the customize section of the website. providing this information is entirely voluntary and is subject to the same standards of privacy and security as member registration information. startster uses the email address supplied in the registration process to confirm registration, and to send notices and updates to you concerning our services and website.
startster also uses "cookies" (small pieces of code we store in our members' web browsers) to recognize members, to monitor site traffic and to provide members with access to protected sections of our website. this information helps us to make the site better and more user-friendly. we also collect member sign in dates and times to track usage.
does startster disclose my personally identifiable information to other members?
at this time, startster does not contain any features that would require the sharing of any member information with other members. however, in the future, if we do decide to utilize features that require the sharing of member information, each member will be specifically required to make their email address or any other information we collect public information that is available to other members.

how does startster store my personally identifiable information?
startster stores personal information of members in secure databases protected by encryption, passwords and network firewalls to prevent the loss, misuse or alteration of personal information. while no security systems are infallible, startster continually reviews and updates security measures to ensure the best possible protection of our member data. startster will prosecute any unauthorized access or attempted access to our secured information to the fullest extent of the law.
can i delete personally identifiable information on the site?
you can notify us at any time to remove your registration information from our database by emailing us at members@startster.com. if you do that, we will not keep any personally identifiable records concerning you unless required to do so by law. however, if you make this request you will be unable to access or use the account you previously created and its associated content without registering as a new startster member and recreating your account.
changes to this privacy policy
